Baotou Shengyou Rare Earth Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 2008. Its predecessors were Baotou Kemao New Technology Development & Application Research Institute (founded in 1992) and Baotou Keju Rare Earth Co., Ltd. (founded in 2002). Composed of experienced rare earth metal experts and application specialists, the company focuses on the R&D, production and sales of rare earth metals for high-performance rare earth permanent magnet materials, and is one of the major rare earth metal producers in Baotou.

Located in the Rare Earth Industry Application Park of Baotou Rare Earth Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the company covers 13,600 m² with an annual capacity of 7,000 tons of high-purity rare earth metals. The site houses an R&D center, production workshops, warehouses, testing laboratories, a substation and staff facilities, forming a complete high-purity rare earth metal production system.
